The restaurants you will be dining at are Los Toldos, Jose Antonio, Aromas Peruanos and Pampa de Amancaes. At all the restaurants you will experience true Peruvian cuisine, a great way to learn about Peruvian culture. The restaurant I will be raving to you about is the terrific Aromas Peruanos. It is located at Av Guardia Civil 856 San Isdro, Lima and is 3.6 km or 11:00 minutes from the Novotel Lima. It is in the business and shopping area and is near historic buildings.
When I went to Aromas Peruanos the first thing I noticed were the many smiles on everyone including the staff. As for the interior design, the walls were covered in warm simple colours such as new corn yellow, brownish gold and tangy orange. I was taken to my table quite quickly and found it was covered in divine, vibrant coloured and patterned tablecloth. While I was waiting for my entrée I constantly stared at the beautiful Peruvian artwork which was of people working in fields and in other artwork there were complex multi-coloured patterns. The environment of this restaurant made me feel very comfortable because of all the joy there.
I couldn't wait to taste the heavenly Peruvian cuisine that I heard was to die for. Before my meal I was informed by a waiter that I could choose a la carte (order my meal from the menu) or eat from the buffet. At the buffet they had a wide selection of food like a delicacy called Tamales Criollos which is seasoned meat wrapped in classic cornmeal dough and is steamed or boiled in cornhusks. This delicacy has luscious colours as well. There was also fish ceviche and stuffed bright red peppers. Even though there was a buffet, I decided to order my food from the extensive menu. My entrée was mouth-watering Diversion de Anticuchos which is a variety of meat and chicken kebabs with nourishing roasted vegetables and polenta cakes. My delicious main was Ensalada de lomo marinado al wok, a tasty marinated beef salad with some invigorating flavours such as chewy beef with crisp salad. By now I was feeling extremely full but I still wanted my dessert. When it arrived I took one bite and knew immediately that it was the best dessert in the world. My extraordinary dessert was sensational chocolate macaroons covered in lucuma mousse topped off with fresh made custard. All those flavours bursted in my mouth like an explosion of flavour. I especially enjoyed the chocolate macaroons which were sprinkled with icing sugar. All of the staff at the restaurant were Peruvian which I felt was excellent because this was a Peruvian restaurant. Aromas Peruanos was established on 23rd February 2000. It has won two awards since it opened, one for being the best family restaurant in Lima and the other for its Tamales Criollos. Their gourmet flavours are so delicious you might want to try some on your vacaciones (vacation.)
I thought this was the best restaurant in all of Peru because of the quality of the food, the friendly service and the lively atmosphere. I thought the service was friendly because the staff would check if there were any problems and come to anyone’s need. The quality of the appetising food was a 9/10 and the excellence of the service was an 8.5/10. The cost for my delectable meal was $15 so you can expect to pay about $10-$15 for your meal per person. Hoped you liked my restaurant page and it has been a great experience. Hasta la vista.
